What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle
- Lead design sessions and code reviews to enhance engineering quality across the organization
- Mentor other engineers and share best practices
- Utilize developer tooling and Azure services for advanced-level Java application design and maintenance
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Advanced programming experience with at least two modern languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#
- 4+ years of software development experience within a Java framework (J2EE, web containers, and Java)
- 3+ years of applied AI/ML experience
- Proven understanding of microservices-oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- 3+ years of experience with architecture and design
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
- Advanced understanding of DevOps concepts and cloud architecture
- Strong problem-solving ability and ability to excel in a startup-like environment
