Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Los Angeles, California. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play an integral role in maintaining the financial records of our organization, including processing receipts and maintaining the Accounting file systems. Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process premium receipts, ensuring proper sorting and prioritization.
  • Conduct data entry tasks for Divisions I and II and CEA as required.
  • Maintain the organization and filing of Accounting documents, including scanning.
  • Comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations relevant to accounting functions.
  • Undertake any other duties necessary for achieving the objectives of the Association.
  • Handle sensitive customer information, cash, checks, and banking details with utmost confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively through mail, email, and phone calls, maintaining and enhancing customer relations.
  • Utilize skills in Data Entry, Microsoft Excel, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Billing to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Apply payments and manage accounts receivable.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position
  • Proficiency in data entry tasks, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR), including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies
  • Familiarity with billing processes, including preparing invoices and managing customer queries
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field would be advantageous
  • Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service orientation.
