Job Title: Desktop Support / Infrastructure Specialist
Location: West Palm Beach, FL (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM
Compensation: $70K – $90K per year + annual discretionary bonus
Reports to: Senior Director of IT
Responsibilities
The Desktop Support / Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for maintaining a stable IT network, supporting AV/Presentation equipment, and ensuring seamless operation of users’ PCs and peripherals. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing hardware, software, and communication platforms.
- Provide executive-level customer support, including for senior management, across multiple offices.
- Act as the escalation point for IT troubleshooting and support, interacting with employees at all levels.
- Take ownership of customer-related incidents, either resolving them directly or coordinating with IT colleagues and outside vendors for a timely resolution.
- Provide on-site coverage during business hours and offer on-call support as needed.
- Manage asset inventory, including network components, printers, video conferencing equipment, desk and conference phones, and other hardware.
- Assist in managing network hardware (routers, switches, hubs, UPSs) to ensure seamless workstation connectivity.
- Facilitate IT onboarding for new employees, including configuring equipment, setting up accounts, installing software, and providing hands-on IT support.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user workstation hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Support network design and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Oversee network connectivity for CCTV, access control, radio systems, video management systems, security turnstiles, elevator interfaces, and voice/data cable infrastructure.
- Interpret building plans, infrastructure requirements, and equipment serving both the base building and tenants.
- Coordinate and manage technological installations for property management, engineering, and on-site security teams.
- Ensure tenant compliance with property rules, regulations, and local/federal codes.
- Assist Site IT Management in overseeing telecommunications and network infrastructure.
- Maintain written records of all tenant IT-related requests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing IT and building systems in a Class A retail, office, or mixed-use asset.
- Strong understanding of building IT and telecommunications systems.
- Familiarity with property management and related IT concerns.
- Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, work under strict deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting teams of at least 100 employees.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle conflicts professionally and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong technical expertise in systems administration, networking, and security.
- Proficiency in workstation and server operating systems, server tools/utilities, and data backup/restoration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred certifications: ITIL, Microsoft, Network+, or CCNA.
