This is a full time, contract role with opportunity for eventual employment. This role is responsible for responding to RFQ requests from government and enterprise buyers (procurement teams, contract officers), sourcing products from existing (and sometimes new) OEMs and distributors, and responding in a short time (1 - 2 days). The candidate will need to build strong partnerships with the external/internal stakeholders to expand on existing opportunities, negotiate cost savings and facilitate communications between customer & supplier. This is a fast paced, high volume job with opportunity for significant upside earnings. The successful candidate will need to be fast, responsive, and have a high sense of ownership and drive.
About the Role:
SALES
Respond to customer requests via phone/email
Source products and develop quotes based on customer requests
Become familiar with partner vendors and making product suggestions
Research and price new products and identify new vendors as needed
Negotiate with vendors on pricing & delivery
Make recommendations on contracts or other funding vehicles
Develop relationships to generate repeat business
RENEWALS
Negotiate terms with new and existing suppliers to maximize overall margin
Identify new vendors. Assess viability for partnerships capability
Maintain deep relationships with vendor community - continually reinforce ADS value proposition
Develop long term plan for renewal growth
Engage in deal strategy & negotiations
Actively log all sales activity
SALES ADMINISTRATION & UTILIZE CRM
Track all activities & opportunities
Report on daily, weekly and monthly KPIs
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of IT sales experience
Minimum 2 years experience with CRM and MS Office in a work environment (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Must be highly driven and hungry for success
Must have a highly developed ability to multi-task. This position is expected to be able to switch gears quickly and be able to comfortably operate with multiple interruptions
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills must be able to talk to new people with ease
Must be able to operate in a completely unscripted environment
Must be familiar with most major enterprise IT and cyber brands
Required Skills:
Desired Experience
Experience working with major IT distributors such as Arrow, TD Synnex, Carahsoft, Ingram Micro, ImmixGroup, EC America, DLT Solutions
Experience with online quoting and pricing tools such as Xvantage and
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Contraqer quoting tools
Existing relationships with channel account management teams at major IT and cybersecurity brands (Dell, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Crowdstrike, Riverbed, F5, Tenable, Fortinet, Infoblox, Rapid7, Broadcom, Vmware, Symantec, Trellix, McAFee, Proofpoint, Cisco, Forcepoint)
Familiarity with US federal IT procurement contracts such as NASA SEW, ITES, CHESS, GSA
