Nidec Minster Corporation, the largest manufacturer of material forming presses in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician. This person will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to assist customers with their Minster supplied equipment, supervising/instructing personnel in setting up equipment in customer plants, and training customer's personnel on proper maintenance and operation of Minster equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical and maintenance support to Minster's customers with their metal forming equipment
Commission new and remanufactured metal forming equipment in customer's plants
Audit customer's metal forming equipment and report all repair requirements found
Provide written and oral reports in English in an accurate and professional manner
Promote service parts and preventative maintenance contracts.
Work flexible hours to support customer service needs- primarily day shift with some off-shift support

$75 daily per diem for domestic travel, $95 daily per diem for international travel; paid out weekly

Salary range $70k-$85k with opportunities for additional $10k-$40k in compensation
Ability to keep accumulated travel points for personal use

Qualifications:
Knowledge of electrical/electronic troubleshooting and installation techniques
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Able to work effectively with minimum supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Extensive domestic and international travel is required- 90%
