Position Summary
The Packager is responsible for material handling, set up, operation and sanitation of packaging line equipment in addition to performing quality checks and product inspection and testing.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties
Work on a packaging line that bottle manufactured products, then cottons, caps, labels, seals, and bands the bottles.
Review bottles for accuracy and box bottles.
Verify proper counts, labels, and lot numbers for packaged products.
Verify labels are properly positioned with no wrinkles.
Work with the Quality Assurance Department to verify all proper procedures that have been followed.
Request materials for the packaging area as needed.
Complete batch and other paperwork as needed.
Create shipping labels as needed.
Perform all duties according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
Keep a clean and neat work area.
Remove trash and sweep or clean as needed.
Follow cleaning SOP’s.
Other related duties as required.
Education / Certifications
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment while wearing appropriate PPE including but not limited to laboratory coats, lab glasses, gloves, pants, hair and beard nets, and close-toed shoes at all times.
Works near moving mechanical parts and are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
