Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to expand market share and drive sales growth across ACA’s Custom Automation and Robotics product lines. This position requires the development, execution, and coordination of all sales efforts within an assigned territory while closely collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams. The ideal candidate will proactively identify and solicit new and expanded business opportunities within their designated region.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee an assigned sales territory within a defined region.
Drive growth in ACA’s Custom Automation and Robotic product lines.
Develop and implement a comprehensive annual territory plan and business strategy to identify and pursue high-potential sales opportunities.
Acquire and expand new customer relationships across key industries, including Power & Energy, Consumables & CPG, Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Medical Devices, Life Sciences, General Manufacturing & Industrial
Conduct on-site Automation Audits at prospective manufacturing facilities to identify new business opportunities.
Maintain and manage a sales forecast, providing leadership with insights on territory growth and business impacts.
Oversee and develop a sales pipeline, navigating complex sales cycles to successfully close business.
Deliver compelling sales presentations to new and existing customers, ensuring ACA’s product lines are effectively promoted.
Execute special projects or assignments as directed by the Addtronics Chief Revenue Officer.
Operate within an established budget to control expenses and maximize profitability.
Utilize Salesforce CRM to prospect, develop, and close new business on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Assist in estimating realistic delivery timelines based on internal workload and capacity.
Complete required reports and analysis in a timely manner, including CRM activities, trip reports, and other sales-related documentation.
Provide strategic guidance to purchasing and engineering teams in quote preparation.
Participate in the training and development of newly hired sales team members.
Travel as needed to assist other sales representatives with training, field service activities, and national/regional trade shows.
Maintain a thorough understanding of ACA’s corporate philosophy, quality standards, work procedures, and mission statement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Strong background in technical sales or experience in a complex sales role.
Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience is required.
Experience within the Custom Automation & Robotics industry is required.
Proven ability to develop accurate sales forecasts.
Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.
Experience managing projects ranging from $500K to $3M.
Professional demeanor and strong presentation skills.
Interest in progressing into a sales leadership role within 12-18 months.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
Ability to stay informed of industry trends and translate insights into sales opportunities.
Strong customer focus and relationship management skills.

-Travel to support the business is required and expected to be 50-75% (2-3 days a week on average)
