We are hiring a Truck Mechanic at our Coos Bay, OR operation. In this role, you’ll perform repair and maintenance on the company’s fleet of commercial trucks. Second Shift 1PM-9:30PM Monday - Friday).
This is a union position with membership to the Teamsters Union Local 206 required after hire.
Union Scale Wage: $30.10 per hour
Benefits: Full union benefit package.
Major Job Responsibilities Will Include
Troubleshoot and diagnose problem to determine the method and extent of repairs necessary.
Perform service repairs.
Read, interpret, analyze and apply information from technical manuals and schematics.
Anticipate needed parts and supplies.
Document repairs and complete required paperwork.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, safety and environmental regulations and company policy.
Electrical, welding and air conditioning when needed.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years old.
Prior mechanic experience with commercial trucks, or similar experience or training.
Class A or B CDL.
Basic mathematical competence.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
Commitment to working safely at all times.
Driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
Ability to walk, lift, crouch, stoop, bend, push, pull, throughout the workday.
Ability to drive at night, work in inclement weather and work overtime as needed.
