Culligan is currently seeking individuals experienced in customer-focused positions to act as a plant operator. The position profile requires that the individual be able to operate a company provided forklift, drive a company provided route truck, assist running the bottling line for water production and regenerate portable exchange tanks, as applicable. Will be trained as a backup position for route delivery.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
(Bottle Water Production Plant)
Ability to operate carts, dollies, fork lifts, lift gates, hand trucks and hand tools
On a daily basis, load water, salt, chemicals, and coolers on route trucks and in store fronts as applicable
Complete daily/weekly and monthly inventory reporting
Stage bottling area to begin daily production run and test water at startup
Filling 5 and 3 gallon water bottles in order to maintain a minimum of a 3 day float
Help clean and fix coolers to ensure that both sales and delivery have the quantities of used coolers required to meet the daily route and sales requirements
Maintain the daily IBWA/NSF required paperwork and testing
Manage the daily shut down and clean-up of the production area and in some circumstances, may be required to bring in trucks for shutdown
Must be able to work overtime if necessary to maintain production deadlines
Must abide by all company policies as contained in the company employee handbook.
Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards and wear all safety equipment as required by the position
Must be able to read and understand material safety sheets as it pertains to testing and production chemical use.
Prepare equipment for installations.
Regenerate Portable exchange Tanks.
Responsible for general warehouse maintenance and facility duties.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of the city area where you would be working
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
Valid Driver's License

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements
Job requires lifting and carrying, or otherwise transporting objects weighing over 100 pounds repeatedly (more than 70% of the times)
A significant amount of time is spent walking, standing, sitting and climbing in and out of the vehicle.
Body movements typically used: bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, reaching above the shoulder, crouching, balancing pushing and pulling.
Hand movements typically used: twisting, turning, pulling, pushing, tapping, hitting and squeezing.
Sight: ability to perceive objects by the eye. Vision must be accordance with DOT requirements (must pass the vision test)
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and therefore could be exposed to a variety of elements. An employee in this position is also subject to exposure to non-toxic chemicals and water.
