Position Overview:
This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with the requirement that candidates reside near an EOIR courthouse (Miami, Orlando, Charlotte, or Chicago) to attend hearings as needed. Occasional travel may be required. The attorney will primarily handle removal defense cases and other immigration matters before EOIR and USCIS.
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Represent clients in removal proceedings before EOIR and USCIS
✔️ Attend court hearings and interviews as required
✔️ Prepare and file motions, appeals, and asylum applications
✔️ Conduct client consultations and develop legal strategies
✔️ Stay updated on immigration law and policy changes
✔️ Maintain organized client files to ensure up-to-date information for attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
✔️ Perform legal research, prepare for hearings, and provide counsel under senior attorney supervision
✔️ Collaborate with our team-oriented legal staff in a supportive and innovative environment
Qualifications:
✅ Minimum 4 years of immigration law experience, with a strong focus on EOIR representation
✅ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
✅ Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction (in good standing)
✅ Strong litigation, legal research, and writing skills
✅ Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
✅ Must be located near an EOIR courthouse (Miami, Orlando, Charlotte, or Chicago)
✅ Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
